An extra-flexible annealed copper conductor cable, with a single
layer of black neoprene rubber insulation, specifically designed
for use with arc welding equipment.
TARGET APPLICATIONS
European Normative EN60974-1 (2010) for Welding Equipment
stipulates that welding cable should be rubber-insulated. In order
to fully comply with this standard, Weldability Sif advise the use
of this harmonised HO1N2-D rubber single-insulated cable, which
is also compliant with IEC60245-6.
FURTHER INFORMATION
Rubber insulation performs better when subjected to high levels of heat as, unlike PVC, it does not degrade to a fluid when
melted, therefore providing a greater level of safety and reliability, by reducing the likelihood of exposing the live conductor.
